The Intellectual and Industrial Property Section of the Registrar of Companies and Official Receiver, announces the first application that has been submitted for registration of a Colour Mark, one of the first types of Trademarks provided by the Trademark Law (Chapter 268) and the Trademark Regulations of 2020.
This is a multi-class application for registration of a Color Mark under Classes 35 (Advertising, Business Administration, Business Management, Office Administration), 38 (Telecommunication Services) and 41 (Education, Vocational Training, Entertainment, Sports and Cultural Activities) which consists exclusively of a single colour without borders and with reference to the recognized RGB color code.
The new types of Trademarks under the legislation are position marks, pattern marks, colour marks, sound marks, motion marks and hologram marks.
